Ohio

This rooftop in Ohio is so awesome! I rode it a few years ago and remember being able to pedal so fast- it felt like a endless planet of hips. I believe this is Eli Platt captured in 35mm format by Steven Hamilton
This is a good example of BMX

White Lotus

video

I love the way the you can hear his tires and see his shadow on the first landing before he enters the screen. Just a reminder that shadows are as close as most of us will come to having a twin here on planet Earth. You can thank the almighty SUN in the sky for that and pretty much everything else involving being alive!

Evergreen, CO has more Elk than Humans

Evergreen, CO
Each year at winter's end, the majestic Bull Elk sheds his mighty antlers, which signals the return of spring. This annual phenomenon of new antler growth is the most rapid process of bone regeneration in the known world. Mature bull Elk can grow up to two inches of velvet antler per day. These natural treasures called "shed antlers” are to many one of Nature’s most awesome sculptures. As with art, each antler is a true original and no two are alike. Each antler tells a story about the animal, his life, health, genetics, and personality." -Roadside Antler Sale- Evergreen, Colorado

The average man never really thinks from end to end of his life. The mental activity of such people is only a mouthing of cliches. What they mistake for thought is simply a repetition of what they have heard. My guess is that well over 80 percent of the human race goes through life without having a single original thought.-- H L MenckenMinority Report

Block Brothers

I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind - that its modest and greatly overestimated services on
the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking.

I believe that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood,
however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious.

I believe that all government is evil, in that all government must necessarily make war upon liberty...
I believe that the evidence for immortality is no better than the evidence of witches, and deserves no more respect.
I believe in the complete freedom of thought and speech...
I believe in the capacity of man to conquer his world, and to find out what it is made of, and how it is run.
I believe in the reality of progress.
I - But the whole thing, after all, may be put very simply. I believe that it is better to tell the truth than to lie. I believe
that it is better to be free than to be a slave. And I believe that it is better to know than be ignorant.

-H.L. Mencken

Minority Report

The average American college fails...to achieve its ostensible ends. One failure...of the colleges lies in their apparent incompetence to select and train a sufficient body of intelligent teachers. Their choice is commonly limited to second-raters, for a man who really knows a subject is seldom content to spend his lifetime teaching it: he wants to function in a more active and satisfying way, as all other living organisms want to function. There are, of course, occasional exceptions to this rule, but they are very rare, and none of them are to be found in the average college. The pedagogues there incarcerated are all inferior men—men who really know very little about the things they pretend to teach, and are too stupid or too indolent to acquire more. Being taught by them is roughly like being dosed in illness by third-year medical students.
The truth is that the average schoolmaster, on all the lower levels, is and always must be...next door to an idiot, for how can one imagine an intelligent man engaging in so puerile an avocation?

The GEM of the U.P.

Few BMX'ers have traveled to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Even less have had the opportunity to visit the Schweitzer Basisn in South Ishpeming. It is a spill over drainage for the lake that sits directly behind this concrete wave. Complete with wall rides, fire pit, and a great cliff dive spot, it makes for a great summer adventure. Crabby taps the top and Ratty carves high over Project and Phil as they get their wings. If this spot is in the U.P., imagine what could be just outside your hometown?
