Fellow Grizz Ripper
When not using a ladder to get in and out of every truck he drives, look for Jared Ball in the treetops; that's where he calls home.

And Comment #9
"Soldiers bring the ghosts home with them, and it’s everyone else’s job to hear about them, no matter how painful it may be."
Our first night in Vietnam gunfire support, the captain of our destroyer rushing to start his body count talley, we ran at 33 knots through coastal fishing waters and obliterated a small fishing boat full of people; I constantly see them flying off into the black ocean.
I worked years following the Navy trying to put things right, to find redemption for being accessory to murder, and ironically or perhaps not, the way to do that came from the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamese Zen master (he would say there's no such thing).
One of the most psychically invalidating and damaging aspects of being a decent human being who served in the US military in any of our unnecessary wars, is realizing that we have done so, not for the reasons we assumed, but for Corporate Empire, and that the politicians who lied and misled us into ruining our lives, those of our loved ones, and so many, many innocents abroad; those politicians and the criminals they represent have not only avoided any sacrifice of their own, they profitted and continue to profit materially from this whole wretched, despicable exercise.
Many returning service members avoid dealing with their experience, because the American public has arrogated to itself the idea that participating in our wars of imperialism is optional. Blythly we cruise along, with the occasional cluck-cluck about some atrocity. And the cowards who never served but continue to rake in tens of millions of dollars keep fanning the herd toward the next war.
The enemy is here, not there, and if we as a nation do come to that realization and crush this fantasy of imperialism without personal responsibility, our service-connected families will continue to suffer terribly.
And, sooner than not, the rest of the herd will be called to answer."

Support small business

Mike Lawless aka UP (of Grizzly fame) is in charge of these...
Here's my small business idea. I have 50 sets of BBQ tools (each set has spatula, tongs, fork) and 4 lamps. BBQ set - $25 +shipping, Lamp- 45+shipping. I will be in the UP again selling at 2 state hockey tournaments this weekend and next. The BBQ tools are made with stainless steel heads, and new hockey sticks. They have been varnished to seal, and come with an easy hanging leather strap. I've never seen these anywhere else!
Email hockeyspatula@gmail.com for more information.

Chuck Ragan

What an inspiration to artists who think that everything's been done before, and there's nowhere to go. Return to your roots for the answer. Ragan is bulletproof.
is it me or does he seem to know something?

Out there
If you soak up the sunlight you are given,
drink each drop of water I send, and
strive only to be yourself, life shall
quicken in your roots, spirit shall raise you
into the light, and your bloom will inspire the world.
You see.. I do all the hard stuff.
